Who Am I?
Hello, my name’s Courtney and I’m a web designer and developer from Melbourne, Florida. I specialize in the design of user experiences online.
I pride myself on being an easy designer to work with. I’m enthusiastic about communication with my clients, keeping in touch with them, and keeping them up to date on project progress is all paramount. I’m always easily accessible and ready to help you.
I've been designing and building websites happily for years, and am proud to be part of a world-wide community of designers and developers working to make the internet a more awesome, productive place to be for everyone.
I try to maintain an understanding of all technologies which can make a web-site not just work, but excel at its task. From project conception, all the way to launch, I'm proud that I can help my clients to realise projects which exceed expectations, and allow them to make the most of their online homes.
People also love that I understand the position that most of them are in. Most of them don’t know half the technical terms I could throw at them - so I don’t throw them. Too many designers and developers confuse their consumers with jargon that they’re never going to understand, I explain and communicate my ideas in a simple, easy to understand manner.

- What is my greatest weakness?

I will completely devote myself to any project I am working on, complete with the late hours and early mornings. I am trying to learn how to slow down and relax.
- What is one of my most exciting moments?

It was December 2-3, 2008. My Mom, Dad, brother, and I are huddled around the computer waiting for the clock to change to midnight. This was the day Florida State issued acceptance notices online. As midnight approached the tensions in the room rose.
Florida State University was the only school I applied to, because it was the only place I wanted to go. I can remember my hands shaking as I typed the web address into the browser. Every eye was on the screen as the page loaded at a seemingly painstakingly slow rate. Then it happened. The glorious green text appeared declaring that I had been accepted to The Florida State University. I think the whole neighborhood heard the shouts of joy coming from my house that night.
- What is my leadership style?

Whenever I lead a group, I try to seek the each group member’s input into the decision making process, however I still like to keep the major decisions to myself. I let the members take care of the little tasks as well as handle the major tasks on a project. I believe in leadership by the other members support, and if the team members dislike the leader, they would be rendered ineffective.
- What is my personal vision?

I will be an optimist and enjoy everything that happens to me and everything I do . I want to be known by my family as a woman who loved and cared no matter the cost; by my friends as someone who was loyal to their cause; by my employers as an honest, responsible, and hardworking leader. I want to ensure I respect anyone who ever worked for me and to earn his or her respect in return. I believe that every action I take and every thought I have is directed by a sense of values and integrity.
